
ALIAA ELSHEIKH
Clinical Psychologist
Aliaa Elsheikh is a psychotherapist who has studied both psychotherapy and fine arts. She is also a founding member of the Egyptian Afro-Asian Art Therapists Association. She belongs to the "Egyptian Association of Group Therapies and Processes". She earned a diploma in counseling psychology from Ain Shams University and a diploma in art therapy from Helwan University. As well as; EAGT Group Therapy Diploma, DBT Skills Group Training Course, and Reiki-2 Energy Healing.
Furthermore, Aliaa is a Petra Rosenkranz student enrolled in the Program "Art in Educational and Therapeutic Context" for a year. And now she is completing her master's degree in Art therapy / Helwan University.
She works mainly with those who suffer from ADHD, behavioral problems, depression, traumas, and others. She also provides parenting skills and family consultations. She uses facilitation tools such as art to help her clients get in touch with their feelings, and enhance their soul healing.
Aliaa is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which helps clients develop emotional regulation skills, be in the here and now, and understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviors. It also helps the balance between change versus acceptance processes during the therapy journey.
Aliaa is a seasoned mental health professional and group therapist with rich experience working in both private and public facilities. She has a variety of different specialties, and particularly enjoys her work with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of challenges.
