Doaa is a clinical psychologist and a member of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Helwan University and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Ain Shams University and she studies psychology master at the university of south wales.
She works as a clinical psychologist at Cairo Sleep Center, and she is especially interested in the treatment of insomnia through cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). group, individual, and online sessions to help patients who suffer from Insomnia comorbid with depression, anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain focusing on unhealthy behaviors such as smoking, eating habits, and overthinking. She mainly focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy combining relaxation techniques, mindfulness, imagery, and progressive muscle relaxation techniques with this psychotherapeutic method.
Doaa also has worked at the Psychiatry Department at Cairo University Hospital, and different medical centers and attended many conferences, workshops and training programs in and outside Egypt.
