
DR GEORGETTE SAVVIDES
Counseling & Business Psychologist
Georgette received her professional Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Counseling Psychology from City University, UK; and her second doctorate from Southern California University in the USA, with a specialization in Occupational/Business psychology. She obtained her MSc. in Clinical and Public Health from Kings College, Institute of Psychiatry, UK. She also acquired a Level A & B Competence Certificate in Occupational and Organizational consultancy and Psychometric Testing from City University, UK.
Georgette started her psychology training in 1990 and has been working in the field since then. Acquiring experience, training, and research from several institutions in the UK, Greece, and Egypt, Georgette worked across a realm of psychological conditions; ranging in severity, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has extensive experience in dealing with behavioral and psychiatric disorders, eating disorders, family and couple counseling. She has also been lecturing and providing post-graduate training, workshops, presentations, and supervision to postgraduate students.
Georgette worked at Behman Hospital as the Head of Psychological Services and also worked in the educational sectors heading the department of psychology in BCA Athens and teaching psychology at The American University in Cairo.
She also has a deep interest and experience, working with clients with CBT approach and directing the training department; offering educational programs in counseling, as well as practicing occupational psychology in several projects with leading corporate sectors; handling recruitment, team building, capacity building, training and consultancy.
Georgette is a member of The British Psychological Society, National Register of UK Counselors, British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy, Eating Disorder Association, National Center of Eating Disorders, British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy.
As part of giving back to community, Georgette volunteered to build the psychology department in the Children Cancer Hospital-57357; where she trained and supervised as well as recruited psychologists to offer psychological and social support to the children and their families.
