Dr. Wafaa is a British Egyptian Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive healthcare and a Gynaecologist with a special interest in Sexual Medicine and Women’s Health. She is also an Accredited and experienced Psychosexual Therapist (sex therapist) and Relationship Counselor (marriage counseling). She is licensed by the GMC (General Medical Council in UK and the Medical Syndicate in Egypt). She is also a qualified Compulsive Sexual Behaviour therapist.
 

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sex Therapy and a master’s degree in Couple Relationship Therapy from Hull university, UK. In addition, she gained a Diploma in working with Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder from ISAT, UK, and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in clinical supervision from LDPRT, UK.
 

Dr. Wafaa is an expert in Vaginismus (difficulty in penetration), Unconsummated Marriage (inability to have sexual intercourse) and Dyspareunia (painful sex), and offers specialized treatment for the following problems:

She uses a holistic integrative approach, where her focus will be on the individual (the person) and the couple’s relationship needs. She integrates medicine, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, systemic therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic and trauma therapy to help all her clients achieve their goals.


Dr. Wafaa is a passionate, empathic, light-hearted, non-judgmental, and warm psychosexual and relationship therapist who integrates knowledge, clinical experience, and skills with evidence-based approaches in the field of psychosexual medicine, relationship therapy and compulsive sexual behaviors therapy to help clients achieve their goal of a healthy and satisfactory relationship.


Dr. Wafaa graduated from Mansoura Medical school and perused a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Later, when she moved to UK, she subspecialized in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare where she gained her Membership and fellowship qualifications.

Dr. Wafaa is a fellow of the Faculty of Sexual & amp; Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK. She has been leading the Psychosexual Clinic at her NHS Trust in London, UK for the past 17 years, consulting with clients (individuals and couples) from diverse backgrounds, religions, and cultures with a variety of problems in their sexual and general relationships. She also deals with clients nationally and internationally and consults clients from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, UK, Europe, and the USA. As a bilingual English and Arabic speaker, she can provide a culturally sensitive, confidential, and complete service in both languages for diverse nationalities. 


Dr. Wafaa also provides teaching, training and delivers training courses in the field of Sexual Medicine in the Middle East and UK. She teaches in London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship therapy. She lectures nationally and internationally. She is a Clinical and Educational supervisor in the medical field as well as in the psychosexual and relationship therapy field.
