Clinical Psychologist
Doaa El Basiouny is a clinical psychologist and a member of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) as well as the Academy for Eating Disorders. She holds a Master of Psychology from the University of South Wales and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Ain Shams University. Furthering her specialization, she completed the Master Practitioner Eating Disorders diploma with NCfED in the UK.
In her practice, Doaa is especially interested in treating insomnia through cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Additionally, she is skilled in conducting cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Doaa also utilizes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) for borderline personality disorders, offering both individual sessions and skills groups. Moreover, she provides prolonged exposure therapy for PTSD.
Doaa’s experience includes working at the Psychiatry Department at Cairo University Hospital and in different medical centers. She has participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and training programs, both within Egypt and internationally.
In her therapeutic approach, Doaa incorporates a variety of methods, always working in collaboration with her clients to create tailored treatment plans.
