Shirley Rosa Tahan, an Egyptian-Canadian residing in Cairo, Egypt, has cultivated a diverse and dynamic career. With over 20 years of experience in the corporate world, she transitioned to a path that aligns more closely with her passion for psychology and human behavior. She holds a dual master’s degree—an MBA and a Master of Liberal Arts in Psychology from Harvard University—placing her at the intersection of business acumen and psychological insight.
During her time at Harvard, Shirley demonstrated a profound commitment to studying positive psychology and human behavior, earning a certificate in human behavior in addition to her Master’s degree. Her dedication culminated in a significant research capstone project, reflecting her firm belief that adolescence should be a period of thriving rather than merely surviving.
Shirley gained valuable experience at Behman Hospital, participating in the general training and assessment & report writing programs. She employs an eclectic therapeutic approach, utilizing her accreditation in CBT and DBT for adolescents by the Association for Psychological Therapies.
Shirley effectively addresses a diverse range of issues, including anxiety, depression, aggression, stress, and low self-esteem.
