YASMIN REFAEI
Organizational Psychologist
Yasmin earned her MSc in Organizational/Industrial psychology from The American College of Greece; as well as a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Cairo with a minor in educational studies. She was trained as a career counselor during her studies abroad, working closely with clients trying to identify their strengths and weaknesses as well as researching career possibilities, job openings, and guiding them to make a career shift or get a promotion. She also had the opportunity to explore with clients possible work-related issues that could arise such as stress, low morale, low motivation, lack of engagement and burnout.
Additionally, she has experience with negotiation and conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as employee mental health and wellbeing interventions.
During her experience in the HR world, Yasmin was able to effectively apply principles of psychology to personnel, administration, management and human resource problems as well as selecting, developing and retaining talent.
Yasmin thinks there must be a shift of focus on mental well-being in the workplace, especially in the post-pandemic world. As we move forward on a global scale, Yasmin looks forward to a more positive note regarding the mental health and well-being of employees.
